When stress and fear spread through our communities, Sojourner remains grounded in one truth: safety and dignity are essential for everyone. All people deserve to live free from violence and control, and we are committed to welcoming ALL survivors with respect and private, confidential support.

Domestic violence does not exist in isolation. It intersects with housing insecurity, financial instability, immigration status, and systemic inequities. It often thrives in secrecy and silence, that’s why we work to break that silence, providing support to everyone, regardless of race, gender, immigration status, national origin, religion, sexual orientation or disability.

Survivors who reach out to us are met with understanding and compassion, without judgment or pressure. Choice is central to healing, and we honor each person’s path forward.

Our services provide a full continuum of support from crisis help through our emergency shelter and 24/7 crisis line, to Community Legal Advocacy that strengthens safety, to prevention and education programs that stop violence before it starts.

By standing together, we build a community of safety and hope.
