For the families who stay at Sojourner, the shelter becomes home for however long or short they are with us. We strive to make their time with us an opportunity for increased safety, stability and hope. During the holiday season, we decorate the shelter and host an annual Holiday Boutique. Through the generosity of our community, we fill our board room with toys, games, gift cards, arts supplies and books to be wrapped and enjoyed by the families we work with.
Many of the clients we serve in the community are also in need of support during the holiday season. Clients have shared that "Christmas wasn't going to happen this year" if not for the items donated by local churches, individuals and businesses who help make the boutique possible.
