Congratulations and Best Wishes
As 2022 begins, Sojourner is saying thank you and best wishes to two staff and one board member as they move on to new things. Helen Chargo, Linda Gardner and Judi Nelson have over 45 years of combined time spent at Sojourner. The impact these three women have made in the lives of Sojourner's clients and the stability of Sojourner as an organization can't be overstated. We are incredibly grateful for their expertise and guidance. They will be missed!
What a wonderful journey it has been! I have met and worked with so many wonderful people. For over 19 years, I have witnessed first-hand the generosity of Sojourner's supporters, the dedication of our board and staff, and the courage and determination of those we serve. I am honored to have been a part of the important work of the organization and its mission. I leave with my heart filled with gratitude for all this experience has brought to my life, and I wish you every success in the future. -Helen Chargo
"I loved being on the board of Sojourner because it was a great way for me to give back to a community. It is so uplifting to be part of a supportive and important service. I would encourage anyone to become part of this organization. The people, including those who work for Sojourner Project, those who volunteer on the board and other areas as well as the recipients of the services deserve all the best the world can provide." -Linda Gardner
"It has been an inexpressible honor and privilege to work with Sojourner staff, clients and volunteers, which will continue to inspire me as long as I walk this earth. I will be forever grateful for the time I have been given here; it is an emotional experience to leave. But I know the important work that is done will continue because we know it has to. In the words of Harriet Tubman, “keep going.” -Judi Nelson
