Donations
Sojourner is very grateful for the strong community
support reflected by generous donations of new and used items which
help to support the women and children who use our services. Thank
you to all those who so generously support our efforts on behalf
of abused women and children. You make a significant difference
in the lives of those fleeing domestic abuse.
In-Kind
Donation Procedures
We appreciate your understanding as we initiate some limited changes
in our donation process in order to improve the administration
of these donations and the use of staff and volunteer resources.
New Items
Sojourner accepts contributions of new clothing, toys, paper products,
personal care items, etc. that are collected as a result of drives,
group projects or individual donation year-round. These donations
are generally pre-arranged by calling the Program Support Coordinator
at (952) 351-4062 or the Development Director at (952) 351-4061.
Cell Phones
Used cell phone donations are accepted year-round.
Gently Used Clothing
Donations of used clothing are accepted four times per year. This
will allow us to accept needed seasonal clothing and other identified
items for the coming season, and will allow for more efficient
management of our storage rooms.
Appointments for used clothing donations will be required prior
to or during the designated drop-off weeks. For reference,
we accept:
- fall clothing during the second week in August
- winter clothing during the second week in November
- spring clothing during the second week in April
- summer clothing during the second week in June
Arrangements for donation drop-off can be made by calling the
Program Support Coordinator at (952) 351-4062. To receive
an email reminder prior to these donation drop-off weeks, please
call the number above to add your name to our reminder list.
